Getting into Greece – Zakynthos – Part 2

The remainder of our Greek break was all rain and gloom. I’m drawing now of my previous experiences of the beautiful Idyll that is Zakynthos.

One of my absolute favourite places on the Island is St. Nicholas Beach. This little hub on the south east point of the Island is known for its water sports. In the height of summer there is constant jet skiing, canoes, pedalos and paragliding.

Don’t think for one second I entertained the idea of participating in anything so extreme.

St Nicks, for me, i the home of my all time favourite swim. The swimming side is very shallow and very vast and, in the summer, like a luke warm bath. It is my favourite place to just bob about and enjoy being alive.

There is a bar on site serving all your favourite  drinks and, although there is a charge for the sun-loungers (not uncommon), it is very affordable.


For the more adventurous types, the jetskiing LOOKS fun. I’m more the floating-by-life kinda girl but my 80 year old father in law went on the jetski, so…
